Directory structure of ACE-J40HE The directory structure of ACE-J40HE is as follows: ACE-J40HE |- README.txt : this file |- xsdir : xsdir file of JENDL-4.0/HE neutron and proton injection ACE files |- neu.zip : zip compressed file of JENDL-4.0/HE neutron injection ACE files |- pro.zip : zip compressed file of JENDL-4.0/HE proton injection ACE files 2. Remarks of ACE-J40HE The differences between ACE-J40HE and the JENDL-4.0 ACE files in the PHITS code are as follows, (1) ACE-J40HE is produced with NJOY2016.49 patched for JENDL-4.0/HE. (2) Heating numbers of the ACE-J40HE neutron injection ACE files are calculated with the kinematics method because the energy balance is broken in most of JENDL-4.0/HE neutron injection files. (3) NJOY2016.49 cannot calculated damage production energy data (mt=444) of the ACE-J40HE neutron injection ACE files above 20 MeV adequately because of no energy spectrum data of residual nucleus in file6 mt=5. Then damage production energy data (mt=444) of the ACE-J40HE neutron injection ACE files above 20 MeV are replaced with those of ACE files produced with NJOY2016.49 from the TENDL-2019 neutron sub-library except for C12, C13, N14, N15, O16, O18 and F19 which have only data upto 20 MeV. As for C12, C13, N14, N15, O16, O18 and F19, the TENDL-2015 neutron sub-library from IAEA NDS (https://www-nds.iaea.org/public/download-endf/TENDL-2015/n/) are used. The data in the ACE files of U235, U238, Pu238, Np237, Pu239, Pu240, Pu241, Pu242, Am241, Am242 and Am242m are not modified because they are not used probably. The neutron multiplicities above 30 of file6 mt=5 in the neutron injection Am242, Am242m and Pu238 files are set to 30 because they cause segmentation fault in MCNP6.2 calculations. The ACE-J40HE proton injection ACE files have no damage production energy data (mt=444) because NJOY2016.49 does not calculate them. Test calculations with MCNP6.2 and ACE-J40HE complete normally, while several ACE files in ACE-J40HE [proton injection : Li7, etc.] cause errors in PHITS calculations.
